O Sporting rejeitou um proposta do Mainz na ordem dos 1,5 milhões de euros pelo passe do lateral Cédric Soares. Depois do interesse de vários clubes da Bundesliga – Leverkusen e Schalke 04 chegaram mesmo a perguntar pelo jogador –, foi o presidido por Harald Strutz a materializar as suas intenções, ainda que os leões tivessem consideradodemasiadobaixaaoferta pelo futebolista.
Neben den Mainzern, die bereits ein Gebot von 1,5 Mio. € abgegeben haben, welches aber abgelehnt wurde, sollen auch Bayer 04 und Schalke an Cedric Soares interessiert sein.
