It is understood that Forest are also in talks with the Monaco full back Ismail Jakobs, as Cooper looks to bring in more options at the back.
Jakobs, a former Germany Under-21 international, came through the academy at Cologne before moving to France in July 2021. The 23-year-old has made 60 appearances across two seasons for the Ligue 1 side, providing three assists.
